Arthur Abrams would like to say that he wasn't jealous of Kurt and the fact that he was in the Bahamas, with Tina, but in retrospect, he knew he should have gone, age old insecurities be damned. If only to stop him from missing his girlfriend.

New York had been good to Artie in general - take away the bullying that happened at McKinley, add in class mates who only cared about tapping into each other's creative side, being away from his wonderful but very overprotective parents, a stable relationship with the woman he loved, and the fact in general, everyone around him was growing up, and the result? A far more confident and secure Artie.

Still, with everything he did have a major project to work on, and he did want to get the head start he'd promised himself. First he needed ideas, and where better than watching life go by in one of the many busy coffee houses in this fair city? He sat, parked at a table, latte in front of him, making random notes in a notebook, occasionally drawing something that caught his interest.

Where: Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and on to Edison Café

Rachel was rather nervous as she waited for Jesse to show up in front of the theatre. Perhaps it hadn’t been such a genius idea to meet up, even though it had seemed pretty cool this morning.

She did look forward to seeing Jesse, she really did, but then again they’d never gotten one quite as well as he and the others did after he returned and they all kissed and made up. The fact that Rachel and Jesse had, in fact, kissed before made things a little more difficult and memories of things she rarely ever thought about came rushing back now.

She refused to give in way to these feelings, which would result in nothing but panic and desaster. Everything would be fine. They’d catch up and talk about Broadway, because clearly Jesse had pursued his career just as she had hers. It really was no surprise – she always had known that he had the talent and certainly enough ambition to make it. She was really interested in hearing what kind of things he was up to, if he’d landed any big parts so far that she’d just missed out on.

It was a good thing, anyway, that she got back in touch with her friends from high school. The only one she still talked to from time to time was Finn, her best friend, whom she hadn’t seen for ages and hadn’t heart from in quite a while, too. She’d call him as soon as she got home, she decided.

Rachel took a sip from the smoothie she had bought on her way here and watched the crowd, full of hectic people rushing by, and waited.
