Lucas wasn't really sure what Quinn needed to talk about, but he generally wasn't the sort of guy to dwell on stuff or worry about things until the problem was there in his face. He didn't see the point, and he would rather sink his energy into other things. He was back to college after the short break in a few days anyway, and he had a placement for practical in a few weeks. He had a lot of work coming up on his plate, so that was where he was mostly focusing right now. He had never expected to hook up, that had just been a spontaneous thing that was working so far. At least, that was, if she wasn't about to tell him it
wasn't working.
But the situation was still as it was, and as he sat on the sofa waiting for Quinn to come back in with coffee, he could heart Kurt in the distance up the hall throwing up and it was enough to keep a guy sober. Maybe things really were just too hard overall right now? Or was that when you were supposed to rally around? When Quinn came back, he pressed his lips together wryly. "I guess no matter how hard you try, that's not really something you get used to, huh?" he murmured sympathetically and nodded to the door out to the hall. Seriously, if she wanted to tell him this wasn't working, he wasn't going to hold it against her, all things considered.
