Blaine had done it. He had promised Kurt he would stay in New York just a little bit longer. In fact, there was apparently some road trip to Atlantic City on the cards, suggested by Sam Evans, and Kurt wanted to go. He wanted to go, and he wanted Blaine to go with him. It would put them both on unfamiliar ground and apparently sitting on the boardwalk talking was nice. Blaine couldn't know, he had never been to Atlantic City, so it was definitely going to be an interesting weekend. Plus two hours in a car with Kurt. It had to be some kind of test, but nevertheless, Blaine promised to give Kurt another week. The youngest Hummel needed time, and while Blaine knew he couldn't wait forever, he could at least wait another week.
For now, though, he was back in the busy and noisy city that was The Big Apple, and still feeling dazed by it all. That probably had a lot to do with the lingering bruise on his cheek from Karosfky's fist and the fact that it was Blaine's left wrist that he had broken so he couldn't play his guitar. That alone bummed him out. Music was what he resorted to for a distraction. He ended up throwing himself into a cab after standing on the sidewalk of the hotel trying to figure out something to do. He had to get tickets to Jesse's show. If he had those, it would give him a reason beyond just the mess with Kurt to stick around a little longer. He headed to Broadway to seek out where to get the tickets from, and he was just stumbling out of the cab when he nearly tripped over someone exiting the theatres... in a wheelchair.
He literally winced when he saw who it was. How was he supposed to face anyone else from Kurt's world right now? He nearly jumped straight back into the cab, but their gazes met and he lost that luxury of a ninja escape. "Uh... hey," he greeted Artie uncertainly, wondering how much he had actually heard through the grapevine.
