No ball and chain, no prison shall keep...
Who? Matt and Mike
When? Tuesday night, after work.
Where? Leaving Britt's studio
Rating: PGish?

Matt truly loved his job at Brittany's dance studio. Teaching kids to love and be good at one of his favorite things kind of made him enjoy going to work. Not to mention the fact that he got to work with two of the coolest people he knew: Britt, of course, and Mike Chang. The two of them had been best friends in high school, and managed to keep in touch after he left, which he couldn't say for everyone in Glee. Mercedes, Santana, Brittany, and Mike were the ones he'd managed to stay tight with.

"Dude," he said to Mike as they walked out the door. "We still on for Boondock Saints at my place?" It was a favorite movie of Matt's for dude time.

[ooc: If anything doesn't work for your history for Mike, lemme know!]

Sam didn't think he had ever had such a horrible headache in his whole life. No bump to the head, no hangover could ever match this. He came-to slowly, a small, strained moan falling from his lips as he opened his eyes just a little and looked around in confusion. All he knew was that something really wasn't right, and that he was somewhere he didn't recognise. His mouth felt dry, and his lips were stinging, but overall, he just felt heavy. It was like he wanted to move, but he wasn't sure if he could. And something was up his nose... and holding his hand. Probably not the same thing...

He blinked slowly a few times and then stiffly and slowly turned his head to try and see where he was, and what was going on. "I don't... know..." He swallowed again to try and wet his throat, realising how thirsty he was, and his stomach was upset. It wasn't like it was the first time he had woken up in a strange place lately, but this was different. Worse.

Something was wrong.

For any of Sam's friends, I just wanted to give you guys the heads-up. Sam's in the hospital. I can't discuss the circumstances here, and he's not up to visitors. Family only for now. I'll keep you posted when that changes. Just in case anyone was worried about him.

Cheers x

Callum had thankfully found a tolerable routine in moving to New York. The new contract gave him a lot more flexibility, and the studio execs didn't even have a problem with Callum having Riley with him at the studio some days. Callum's folks had moved to New York with this son so they could be around to watch their grandkid grow up, and they adored having him when Callum was working. It suited everyone all around, but sometimes Callum just wanted time with his lad, even if he was working, and luckily Riley loved it, and was a good kid.

This evening, though, after putting in long hours sound-checking and toying with the song list, Callum was more than happy to chill for a little while. It had been a long couple of weeks for him, so he appreciated the downtime where he could get it. He had asked Dylan to meet him here, and they could maybe move onto a pub for dinner afterwards. It gave Callum the chance to tie up some loose ends while he was waiting, though now he was just swivelling back and forth on his stool nursing a diet coke as he listened to the playback over the speakers. It wasn't too bad. It needed some tweaking and that second back-up singer had to go. She had a trill in her voice that was clashing with Callum's lower tones. All in all, though, it was starting to come together nicely.

Andrew was exhausted. He felt like a zombie, and probably looked like one too. He was nursing a triple shot of espresso and even though he was halfway through it, it still didn't feel like it was doing anything. He had finally made it to bed the night before around ten pm, meaning he hit forty hours without sleep by that point. He crashed into a deep sleep, but it wasn't long-lived. He woke up around two am and from then on, everything going through his mind meant his rest was broken. He was going to have to go back to bed after meeting with Kurt. At least he knew Sam was okay with his family, and it was probably exactly what he needed at that point.

He rubbed his hand over his face as he waited for Kurt to arrive. He knew this time that he was in over his head, he couldn't do it all on his own. Luckily, he had asked Sam if he minded him talking to Kurt about things, or letting anyone else know what was going on. He was okay with the epilepsy thing but he didn't want all the world knowing about anything else. At least not yet. Sam had to process that himself first, and Andrew completely understood.
