Mike was pacing. It was a miracle he hadn't worn a hole in the floor at the Arrivals gate from just how many times he had walked back and forth on that one spot. He had bitten a good portion of the nails off his hand too just because of how nervous he was, and on a small wall surrounding a display of fake plants nearby sat a grande latte from Starbucks that was probably going cold by now. He couldn't quite believe Tina was about to arrive, and almost immediately after he finally -
finally - plucked up the balls to contact her.
He knew he should have done it sooner, but he had been trying to respect her wishes. He really had. It had just been the hardest thing in his life he ever had to face, and more and more lately with everything going on, he was feeling so lonely. Most of his friends had hooked up and he was still solitary and alone, not wanting to be the third wheel for any of them. But he stuck close for Kurt, and support. He couldn't let his own heart get in the way of helping his friends, but he could not shake the loneliness no matter how hard he tried. It was what finally led him to getting in touch with Tina, and now she was nearly here, he couldn't believe it.
Now if only the goddamn plane would let the people off already! The screen said she landed a little while ago according the flight details she had texted him, so why wasn't she out here yet? He was excited and nervous, but also scared about the fact he knew what he had to tell her was going to hurt. Really, really hurt. She cared for Kurt so much, and this was going to be a huge blow. He didn't want her to be hurt or upset, but it was inevitable. He just wanted to get it over with.
