Who:
singslikeagirl and
rockstarwarbler
What: Blaine birthday
Where: Mount Sinai Medical Center
When: Sunday evening
Rating: NC-17, Blaine's figuring out if he still works. Don't judge.
By the time Kurt finally made it back to Blaine's room that night, he was almost dead on his feet. In fact, he went straight in and dropped down on the seat, the bags he was carrying hanging over the edge of it so he could catch his breath. The day had been non-stop and it was only because he was pumped on three Red Bulls that he was probably not sleepwalking. He felt bad, because this was the first he had seen Blaine all day, and it was his birthday. They hadn't even had Christmas together. Well, not where it counted with Blaine unconscious and oblivious to Kurt's presence.
And it was only a moment after Kurt was finally on his ass that he realised Blaine was pretty oblivious now, too, asleep in the bed with the lights dimmed in the room. Kurt gave a small sigh, feeling bad he hadn't gotten here sooner. He had been hoping to catch Blaine before he fell asleep, but no such luck. It was the meeting with Blaine's doctors and his family that had Kurt late. It literally went on for four hours. Three to seven, and Kurt just felt even more confused than ever. He loosened the bags from around his arms and set them down on the floor so he could push forward in his seat to rest his elbows on the edge of the bed. He nursed his head in his hands, watching Blaine sleep for a few moments before he carefully took his hand to kiss his fingers. It seemed that no matter what Kurt did, karmic pull was going to keep trying to keep him away from Blaine.
