I'm glad I'm not Jewish. I wouldn't want to risk ruining my shoes by stomping on a glass at my wedding... no offense to those who have the Faith.

Kurt's sick. Time to steal his nurse's uniform off him. I'm rusty at this, hope I don't suck. I can't even find the thermometer, but I totally found an un-opened packet of Hershey Kisses under the coffee table. SCORE.

All around, people looking half dead. Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head.
Who: [livejournal.com profile] bad2theboner but open to anyone else who might be shopping (multiple taggers welcome, just assume it's at different points in the supermarket)
What: Even doctors have to eat
Where: Supermarket
When: Friday evening
Rating: PG

Andrew finally managed to score a couple of days off, but only after seeing through seven night shifts in a row. Thursday night had been his last in the string, and today was supposed to be where he slept the hours away and recharged the batteries. But it had been so damn hot in New York that it wasn't very conducive for sleeping. Even his airconditioning wasn't working as well as it should, and he made a mental note to have someone come service it. He managed to get a few hours, but soon gave up on anything deep and restful and instead decided it was his turn to do the grocery shopping after Sam had been stuck with it the last few times because of Andrew's schedule. And any way, he wasn't working that night, so he could start trying to get a normal sleep pattern back later.

But the heat coupled with feeling lethargic had Andrew walking through the supermarket in a bit of a daze. He had on a pair of knee-length shorts and a black wifebeater with flip-flops, all topped off with a baseball cap. He stuck to the grocery list a first but now he was just throwing in anything that took his fancy. It was even taking some time to remember to buy for two now that Sam was living with him and he probably had way more than he needed. At least the place was airconditioned, though, so he was more than happy to wander around aimlessly and take his time with it.
