I got a gift certificate for dinner at Ai Fiori last night, does anybody want to join me? Or take it off my hands?

Blaine would have been relieved that day was nearly over if it didn't mean he had a hell of long night ahead of him. Chemo that day had been bad. Kurt was in so much pain and spent most of the session in tears and telling Blaine he just wanted it to stop. That, coupled with the song Kurt had posted to Facebook a couple of days ago, Blaine was just a mess inside. He was managing to keep it together on the outside, but he was feeling like his grasp on his emotions was hanging by a thread. The more weak and sick Kurt became, the more scared Blaine got that he was going to slip away from him.
The second round of chemo started okay. It was dragging tiredness that was seeping into every portion of Kurt's body and by the end of the first day, he needed help with literally everything. All he wanted to was lie in bed and not move, leading to Blaine needing to feed him a small bowl of chicken soup just to get some sustenance into him. It didn't stay down long, though, and a short while later, it was jello that was the next offering with Kurt barely awake as he got a few mouthfuls into him. All around him, Blaine had offers of help. Burt, Carole, Finn, Quinn, Nick, Jeff, Mercedes... the list went on. He wanted to do most of Kurt's hands-on nursing himself, though, no matter how much more hard it was getting this time. Kurt was his husband, and this was his job, and he only took the help when he absolutely needed it.
( Blaine was lying next to Kurt on their bed, his head propped up on one hand as he watched Kurt doze, and his other rubbing soft, soothing circles over a strip of exposed skin at Kurt's tummy... )
